Altadena -- A $10,000 reward was posted today for information
leading to an arrest and conviction in the death of a 90-year-old Altadena
grandmother whose body was found in her home, which had been set on fire
deliberately.
On a motion from Supervisors Michael Antonovich and Yvonne Brathwaite
Burke, the full board approved the reward during its regular meeting.
Firefighters who quickly extinguished a blaze last Thursday at Eveyln
Oletha Mosely's home at 3225 Lincoln Ave. discovered her body on the kitchen
floor. Investigators found signs of a struggle inside the home she shared with
her daughter and grandson.
A housekeeper was booked on suspicion of murder hours later but was
quickly exonerated and set free.
Anyone with information about Mosely's death was asked to contact
sheriff's homicide Lt. Liam Gallagher at (323) 890-5500.
