Gas Prices Inch Lower

Gas Prices Inch Lower LOS ANGELES -- Gasoline prices continue to inch downward, dropping more than a penny in Los Angeles County in one day and 14.5 cents since it hit record levels a month ago, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California.

Its latest survey shows that an average gallon of gas in the Los Angeles-Long Beach market sold for $4.479 Friday.

In Orange County, the average price was $4.435, down 1.7 cents in one day and down 16.3 cents from its highest point.

Inland Empire stations averaged $4.450, and the average in San Diego County was $4.438.
