Recession-Proof Your Face
As the as the economy falters, many people who would like to have a nip or a tuck are finding themselves rethinking the idea of major plastic surgery.

However, even if there are some lines and furrows you really don't like, there is a way to freshen up your look on a budget, basically recession-proofing your face. For some people, it simply isn't the right time for "the works," for others, money is a big factor. A "liquid facelift" can help you put your best face forward without having to take out a second mortgage.

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Richard Fleming says using of Botox and facial fillers can help enhance a person's appearance in small, but significant ways. Says Fleming "In these days, where people are losing their jobs, fearful of losing their jobs, trying to evolve or build a new business, appearance counts."

Dr. Fleming says by going to the plastic surgeon every six months or so, patients can put off a facelift for some time by continuing to do smaller, less expensive things while the signs of aging are still minimal. "Augmenting tissues with filler; and it can be the patients own tissue, it can be some of the laboratory materials like juvaderm; there are ways to build up that tissue, which gives them a more-rested appearance. They look better. They look younger," said Fleming, who adds, Botox must be used in moderation in order to ensure a natural outcome. "I don't want to make somebody look like they had a stroke. They can't move their forehead. And that's unfortunately what happens when you use too much."
