One World One Dream
"One World One Dream" is the theme of the Beijing Olympic Games 2008. It expresses the common dream of people around the world, inspired by the Olympic ideals, to strive for a bright future for all. The Olympic Games were created over 100 years ago to help build a peaceful and better world through sport, practiced without discrimination of any kind, in a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.
The Olympics is the biggest and most inclusive global celebration in which virtually every nation of the world participates.
By supporting the Olympics, we endorse the belief that, when the nations of the world come together in peaceful competition, we all benefit. |

This float is truly a celebration of the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing, the first ever held in China. It will have a classic Chinese building, the emblem of the Beijing Olympic Games 2008, charming characters, amazing fireworks and more! Like the Five Olympic Rings from which they draw their color and inspiration, the Fuwa characters depicted on the float will serve as the Official Mascots of Beijing Olympic Games 2008, carrying a message of friendship and peace --to children all over the world. In fact, the characters placed in the order on the float spell out "Welcome to Beijing." Designed to express the playful qualities of five little children who form an intimate circle of friends, Fuwa also embody the natural characteristics of four of China's most popular animals - the Fish, the Panda, the Tibetan Antelope, the Swallow -- and the Olympic Flame.
In the ancient culture of China, there is a grand tradition of spreading good wishes through signs and symbols. Each of Fuwa symbolizes a different blessing - and will honor this tradition by carrying their good wishes to the children of the world. Prosperity, happiness, passion, health and good luck will be spread to every continent as Fuwa carry their invitation to Beijing Olympic Games 2008 to every part of the globe. At the heart of their mission -- and through all of their work -- Fuwa will seek to unite the world in peace and friendship through the Olympic spirit. Dedicated to helping Beijing 2008 spread its theme of One World, One Dream to every continent, Fuwa reach out to the world in friendship through the Games -- and invite every man, woman and child to take part in this great celebration of human solidarity. |

We will be using a variety of materials including red millet seed, cornmeal, parsley, amaranthus seed, light blue statice, red and white carnations, red, white, yellow, gold and purple mums, red, yellow and orange roses, Gerbera daisy petals, macaroon coconut and more.
