What's the drama: Peyton wakes up bound and gagged in her basement. Turns out that Psycho Derek was never in custody. And now he's back to enjoy a private prom with just the two of them.

On the way to the prom the fan belt snaps in the young Scott couple's car so it's Sober Deb to the rescue. Meanwhile, Lucas mopes at the real prom. He tells Brooke that he tried to get Peyton to come to the prom but she didn't even answer the door. Brooke immediately tells Mouth that she needs to go somewhere. On the other side of town, Rachel decides to go to the prom after all.

What's up with Dan: Dan's having a great time reminiscing with Karen at the prom until he finds a note in his pocket that says "Does your date know you murdered her fiancé?" Throughout the evening the chaperone gets texts that tell him someone knows he killed Keith.

What's up with Rachel: Rachel decides not to leave Tree Hill. Instead she rents a limo with a fully-stocked bar and decides to crash the prom. Principal Turner gets one look at that flunky and gives her the boot, but not before she invites everyone to her limo party. Always the good guy, Mouth is the only one to take her up on the invitation.

What's up with Nathan: Turns out that Haley is too tired from walking from their broken-down car, so she can't dance. And Nathan ends up having to drive drunk kids home from the prom because he's sober guy. It's not exactly the dream prom for the happy couple.

What's up with Lucas: Lucas gets a text message from Peyton (sent by Derek) that says that she's running late and she'll be there soon. He relaxes and decides to wait and have a good time while he does.

What's up with Peyton: Evil Derek dances with Peyton and tells her that after their perfect prom, they're going to go upstairs and have the perfect prom night.

What's up with Brooke: Brooke arrives at Peyton's house to convince her ex-BFF to get her butt to the prom. When she gets no answer, she resorts to the secret key and lets herself in. Derek jumps her, ties her up and decides to show Peyton how much he loves her by killing Brooke for her. Peyton convinces him that she wants to kill Brooke and he gives her the knife. She immediately stabs him in the chest. Then she beats him up. When he starts getting the upper hand, Brooke breaks free and they both are able to take him down.

What's up with Mouth: Mouth ends up spending the evening with Rachel. They even have their last dance at the airport. And just as he bids Rachel goodbye, she convinces him to come with her. Mouth decides to be dangerous and go with her.

What's up with Karen: As they slow dance at the prom, Dan asks Karen if it's possible for her to have feelings for him like she did before. And she tells him no.

What's up with Haley: At the end of their disastrous night, Nathan brings Haley to Prediction Roof to show her his own prediction -- that they would be back together by graduation. He put that prediction there when they were having troubles and now it's come true. He tells her that makes it the perfect night for him.

How does it all wrap up? Dan finally decides to duck out of the dance and call the number of the person who has been texting him. A phone rings in the hallway and is sitting on the floor right where he killed Keith. Just as Dan picks it up Lucas comes around the corner. He tells Dan that he doesn't know who owns the phone but he keeps thinking that Keith is trying to tell him something. Dan tells his son to open his eyes -- Keith is dead and he's never coming back. As Dan walks away, Lucas opens his eyes and thinks back to the scene of the shooting. He was leaving the hallway and Keith was telling him to go. And there was someone looking out between the blinds of a class room window. Someone witnessed the murder!

Totally! You only live once.
Not even! He’s ruining his future.

It was exciting to watch, but I'm glad it's over.
I loved it! The drama, the violence...

Are you glad Peyton and Brooke are friends again?
Yes! I was tired of their fighting.
No! I loved all the drama when they fought.
